Editorial plan

What topics can you expect in the following weeks and months on my blog? Here I would like to give an overview of the articles I have roughly planned so far:

Redaktionsplan Gamernist

Specialist articles about learning games:

  • Basics of Rhetoric (and why this discipline is important for knowledge transfer)
  • Procedural Rhetoric (and its implications for developing learning games)
  • Basics of learning theories and the mental information processing
  • Basics of multimedia learning
  • Basics of learning motivation
  • How learning games should be integrated into school lessons (and why teachers are so important for that)
  • Why should learning games offer a multiplayer mode?
  • Which gaming rules should make what statements in learning games?
  • Which narrative framework is suitable for a learning game?
  • What gaming genres convey which kind of knowledge?
  • How should the gaming world be structured in a learning game?
  • When and what feedback should a learning game offer to motivate the players?
  • When and how should a learning game provide help?

Other planned professional articles:

  • Why we should pay better attention to the correct spelling of compound words (might be German-only)
  • Why digital nomads of the future are employees
  • Why and how videogames of the entertainment industry should be discussed in school
  • What texters can learn from the research of comprehensibility

Maybe in the future, I will also review learning games based on the findings of this blog, and give suggestions on how to improve their learning experience.

In contrast, I will fill the private section of my blog more spontaneously, for example with travel reports and recommendations, with updates for my friends and family, perhaps with some game reviews and with private thoughts that I’d like to share here.

If you have any suggestions, wishes or questions, please contact me here: kontakt@gamernist.de. I am looking forward to your feedback!
